Is This What You Meant?

You asked for the opportunity to show your strength.  You requested autonomy and less micromanaging.  You repeatedly demanded more trust and less second guessing.  Well, here we are.  In my 10+ years of serving organizations with initiatives focused on evolving internal leadership, I have embraced a truth that lacks eloquence, style, or grace.  You were correct in your demands, and you are correct that you are capable of more than you are given credit for.  It is also true that most have not experienced that which they so desperately demanded and their cloak of enabling has now left them exposed.  Everyone wants to be Superman forgetting Superman had a bad day everyday!  

As I sit in quarantine (as I hope this note finds you if you have a choice), I felt compelled to tell you I am thinking about you, believing in you, Praying for you, and looking forward to watching who emerges from this Season stronger, wiser, and true.
